O'Rourke's Auto School is a family owned and operated driving school. All driver education courses are accredited and licensed by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) and taught by state certified driving instructors. Plus, you'll love the convenience of our online scheduling for classroom and behind-the-wheel training.
O'Rourke's Auto School has been a family owned and operated business since its inception. It was established in 1947 by its founder John (Jack) O'Rourke. John and his wife Eileen ran the school together for many years until they sold to the Reed family in 1983. Ernest Reed Jr, his wife Eva, and their son Ernest Reed III operated O'Rourke's Auto School as a family until Ernest Reed Jr.'s passing in 1993.
The driving school was then passed on to Ernest Reed III. He operated the school until 2007, at which time he decided to sell to a good friend of his, Donna Hoernig.
The Hoernig family were also long-time owners of Westfield Driving School. In 2014, Donna Hoernig retired and her son Kurt Hoernig and his wife Natalie Hoernig took over ownership and the day to day operations of O'Rourke's Auto School.
