Instructors will usually determine on the day of a snowstorm if it is safe to teach or not. Will my road test be canceled if there is snow?
If public schools located in the same town of the RMV are canceled due to snow, usually road tests are canceled as well. However, some road test examiners may decide to still do tests if they determine the roads are safe enough to do so. We usually contact students on the morning of the test to notify if they are canceled or not. The RMV does not charge you a cancellation fee if they cancel tests due to snow, however, if you cancel it out before they make a decision you may be charged. We recommend that you wait until you hear from us before canceling to possibly avoid getting charged.
